This original watercolor painting captures the timeless beauty of an old steam engine train chugging through the golden desert. The engineer can be seen in the window, with colorful black, brown, and yellow smoke billowing from the boiler through the stack or chimney. The purple blue mountains and blue sky provide the perfect backdrop to this stunningly detailed train. A reminder of the days of old, this painting is sure to delight. I was inspired to paint this from a Howard Fogg oil painting. He was an American Artist who specialized in trains. I was drawn to paint this because of the steam billowing out in many different colors.
